What NotDenied is — and is not

NotDenied is a self-help document preparation service. We prepare health insurance appeal documents at your direction and based on the information you provide. We are not a law firm, an attorney, an insurance company, a healthcare provider, or your representative before any court or agency. We do not provide legal, medical, or insurance advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created. You direct the preparation, you review the result, and you file your appeal yourself. You are free to consult a licensed attorney at any time, and for complex matters you may wish to.

The free case check

Submitting your case for review is free. We assess whether your denial appears appealable before any charge. If we determine it cannot be appealed, we tell you why and you owe nothing.

Fees and refunds

If your case is appealable and you choose to proceed, the fee is a flat $149 per appeal, charged securely through Stripe. If we are unable to deliver your appeal document after you pay, you receive a full refund. Because outcomes depend on your insurer and the facts of your case, fees are not contingent on outcome and no outcome is guaranteed.

No guarantee of outcome

We prepare a professional, evidence-based appeal arguing your strongest available grounds. We cannot and do not promise that your insurer will overturn the denial. Any statistics we cite are general industry figures, not a prediction about your case.

Your responsibilities

• You confirm the information you provide is accurate and complete. Inaccurate information can harm your case.
• You confirm you are the patient, the policyholder, or a person authorized to act on the patient's behalf.
• You are responsible for reviewing the prepared appeal and for filing it with your insurer by the applicable deadline, unless we agree in writing to file on your behalf.

Authorization

By submitting your case, you authorize NotDenied to use the information you provide to prepare an insurance appeal for the patient identified, and you represent that you have the authority to give that authorization.

Deadlines

Appeal windows are set by your plan and by law (commonly 180 days from the denial for an internal appeal). We calculate and display your deadline from the denial date you provide, but you are responsible for timely filing unless we have agreed in writing to file for you.

How AI is used

We use artificial intelligence to help draft and stress-test your appeal, and a human reviews every appeal before it is finalized. You are responsible for reviewing the final document for accuracy before you file it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NotDenied's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the affected case. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law
